I’ve personally experienced, as an employee, the old era leadership and retaliated against Managers’ who led with force.
I’m naturally built not to tolerate forceful leadership, my whole life was spent searching for that one business idea that would get me out of the prison of old paradigm forceful leadership to lead with my own Work, in my way, under my terms!
The Old Model: Leadership by Force
Old Style Leadership looked like someone with:
The strongest personality.
The best strategy.
The one with willpower
The loudest voice in the room.
The one who was oblivious to how they spoke to their employees, whilst putting them down in front of others.
The most dominant presence.
The one who could push harder, work longer, and command obedience.
Force-led leadership operates through: -
Control over collaboration
Urgency over alignment
Performance over authenticity
Visibility over integrity
It produces burnout, hierarchy, and short-term wins.
It disconnects women from their natural authority because it demands imitation:
“Lead like this.”
“Market like that.”
“Speak louder.”
“Be more.”
“Do more”
Force leadership assumes everyone should lead the same way.
That old paradigm style of Leadership is collapsing….yayyyy finally !
Not because leadership is no longer needed — but because force is no longer sustainable. People no longer want to be boxed into doing something that isn’t in integrity with who they are and are not in line with their natural gifts, talents and wisdom.
